One Circle Facilitator

Employment Status: Contract position; flat rate per session; in-school during school hours

Taos: 2 Male In-school Facilitators, 1 Female In-school Facilitator

Raton: 2 Female In-school Facilitators

Job Description:
One Circle Facilitators lead Boys Council/Girls Circle in-school groups for 4th to 8th grade students. Facilitators will introduce youth to gender specific themes and topics that relate to their lives to develop communication and interpersonal skills, decision making and critical thinking skills, along with coping and self- management skills. Facilitators will be responsible for all administrative activities related to the position in accordance with goals discussed with the Community Programs Director.
Responsibilities:

Lead One Circle groups in an age and gender appropriate manner.

Report progress of group sessions to the Community Programs Director.

Prepare and maintain weekly progress notes.
-
Attend group and/or individual supervision with the Community Programs Director.

Complete monthly vouchers for payment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
-
Certification from One Circle Foundation for Girls’ Circle or Boys Council Facilitators provided by Youth Heartline.

Pass a CYFD Fingerprint Background Check
-
Experience with youth
-
Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills
-
Commitment to cultural and generational objectivity
-
Commitment to strengths-based solutions approaches as a route to self-empowerment for youth
-
Compassion for the challenges faced by youth today
-
Organization and time management skills
-
Positive Community Role Model
Preferred:

Ability to speak Spanish.
